The dress was born from a creative fusion of two Libelula bestsellers: the Long Tamara Dress, with its beautifully fluid bias-cut skirt, and the Mima Dress, with its signature floaty sleeves. Together they create a floor-length gown with a 1940s-inspired romanticism, a quality of movement that few evening dresses achieve, and a silhouette that skims and flatters across the full range of figures and sizes.

The velvet is our silk and viscose mix - chosen specifically because it drapes and falls rather than standing stiffly away from the body. In navy, it has a depth and richness that shifts subtly with every movement and photographs with a luminosity that flat fabrics cannot replicate.

The floaty sleeves add coverage and elegance simultaneously, and the removable triangle at the centre front allows the neckline to be adjusted - more open for dramatic evenings, more modest for conservative occasions.
